Dear Mr. Tim Andrews, President, Victory Legion Branch #317.
It was with great pride that we were able to represent the veterans and members of Legion Branch #317 during various ceremonies and activities on our educational trip to Europe. Your monetary donation in addition to the many Legion ribbons, pins and flags, which students distributed to various dignitaries and participants, were always graciously received with warm smiles. Many of these mementos were also placed in Canadian and Commonwealth cemeteries, honouring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Your Legion’s involvement in this initiative has helped our students gain a deeper understanding of their responsibilities as engaged citizens. We trust this experience will motivate them to continue to strive to make the world a better place, and above all, always remember those that selflessly served our country.
